NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad Arrests Three

The Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) arrested three individuals for multiple offenses within the past 24 hours, including:

 

Ashton Spencer (DOB:  7/25/92), for an incident involving an aggravated assault with a firearm in the 3100 block of Maurice Duncan Street on January 15, 2017. Spencer was apprehended in the 2100 block of Sere Street.

 

Kimberly Rock (DOB: 7/23/84), for aggravated assault with a firearm and simple criminal damage to property. The incident occurred in the 11300 block of Old Spanish Trail on January 16, 2017, and Rock was apprehended in the 4500 block of Papania Street.

 

Terrance Bart (DOB: 8/19/85), for armed robbery, armed robbery w/ firearm and criminal trespassing. Bart, who was arrested in the 7200 block of Chef Menteur Highway, was wanted in connection to an incident that occurred in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard on January 21, 2017.

The Violent Offender Warrant Squad (VOWS) is responsible for tracking down individuals who are wanted for serious crimes and apprehending suspects with outstanding warrants. This unit operates within the NOPD’s Special Operations Division and works in conjunction with the United States Marshals Office Fugitive Task Force. In 2016 the unit was responsible from more than 500 arrests.
