NOPD Investigates Homicide on New York Street

NOPD Investigates Homicide on New York Street

The NOPD is investigating a shooting that left one male victim dead and another victim injured.

 

On January 9, 2017 shortly after 10:00 p.m., Third District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting in the 2500 block of New York Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds while sitting inside of a vehicle. EMS transported both victims to the hospital. However, one victim died at the hospital from his injuries.

 

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and official cause of death.
