The NOPD, along with multiple local and Federal partner law enforcement agencies, arrested four suspects on January 8, 2026, as part of an ongoing human trafficking investigation.
The investigation, which dates to August 2025, led detectives to determine that the arrested subjects were operating a human trafficking ring based out of New Orleans at a location in the Seventh District. The operation is believed to involve multiple juvenile and adult female victims.
NOPD’s Special Victims Section worked in conjunction with the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, FBI and Homeland Security Investigations to obtain information, develop leads and ultimately identify and arrest the suspects.
Those arrested in this operation include:
- Leroy Allen (black male, DOB: 09-14-1994), charged with one count of human trafficking, three (3) counts of first-degree rape and one count of aggravated assault with a firearm
- Commoder Allen (black male, DOB: 09-11-1980), charged with one count of human trafficking. Allen is additionally wanted out of East Baton Rouge Parish on charges there.
- Lawrence Allen (black male, DOB: 04-07-1997), charged with two (2) counts of human trafficking
- Montrell Porter (black male, DOB: 06-10-1989), charged with one count of human trafficking and three (3) counts of first-degree rape.
While enacting a subsequent search warrant on the Seventh District location, NOPD Special Victims Division detectives seized multiple items believed to be related to the trafficking operation. These include three (3) handguns, two (2) shotguns, five (5) rifles, assorted ammunition, various electronic communication devices, documents and more.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
