The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in a homicide that occurred in the 100 block of Basin Street on December 11, 2022.
At about 4:32 p.m., First District officers responded to a shooting. Upon arrival they discovered a male subject suffering from multiple gunshots. He was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim has since been identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner as 45-year-old Jamall Polk.
Through investigation, detectives identified the above pictured, unknown subject as the alleged perpetrator of the homicide. Investigators say he was seen arguing with the victim and allegedly pulled a weapon, firing several times at the victim before fleeing on a bicycle.
