NOPD Searching for Suspects & Vehicle in Hit & Run

The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating two suspects and a vehicle wanted in connection with a hit & run traffic accident that occurred on November 23, 2022.

At about 10:25 p.m. the victim was driving west on Chef Menteur Highway while an unknown driver was traveling behind him in a Nissan 350z with no headlights on.  According to investigators both vehicles proceeded through the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Crowder Boulevard, disregarding the red light.

The victim, who was in a white Hyundai Sonata, swerved to avoid a vehicle in front of him, and the Nissan 350z struck the Hyundai from behind causing it to flip over and eject the victim who was seriously injured and still receiving treatment for his injuries.  The suspects allegedly fled the scene on foot.

Through investigation, the suspects were identified on surveillance video. The driver is identified as the person (pictured right) and attired in light colored shorts with black jacket and passenger (pictured left) was attired in a dark sleeveless shirt and light pants.

The Nissan 350z (pictured) has a sticker of Instagram page “bladimir327” on both rear quarter panel windows.

Anyone with information about these suspects, the vehicle or this incident is asked to contact NOPD Traffic Fatality Division Investigator Darius McFarland at (504) 658-6814 or Crimestoppers anonymously at (504) 822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-7867.
