NOPD Searching for Stolen Vehicle

The NOPD is searching for a vehicle stolen from the Fourth District.

On Sunday, January 8, 2023, around noon, the victim parked the vehicle, a white 2014 Hyundai Sonata, LA license plate: 560FGQ, in the 5800 block of Brighton Place, then entered a residence.

Around 5:30 p.m. the same day, the victim discovered the vehicle was missing from that location.

Security cameras in the area captured an unknown, silver colored S.U.V. (pictured above on the left) pulling alongside the victim’s vehicle (depicted above on the right).

A subject wearing a red colored jacket or sweatshirt exited the rear, driver’s side of the S.U.V. and made entry into the victim’s vehicle without appearing to use force.

Both vehicles then fled eastbound on Brighton place, then turned southbound on Woodland Drive.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this vehicle or the identity of the pictured individual is asked to contact any Fourth District Detective at (504) 658-6040 or call Crimestoppers anonymously 504-822-1111 and toll-free at 1-877-903-7867.
