The NOPD is investigating a traffic fatality this evening (January 28, 2022) at the intersection of Morrison and Downman roads that left one person deceased.
At about 10:19 p.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a vehicle crash at the location. Upon further investigation, officers located an unresponsive male outside of a crashed vehicle. The victim was declared deceased at the scene.
Investigators determined that the victim was operating a pewter Infiniti sedan traveling westbound on Morrison Road when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole. As a result of the crash, the victim was ejected from the vehicle.
The Orleans Parish Coroner will officially identify the victim in this incident upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
