NOPD Identifies Suspect in Eighth District Armed Robbery

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Jeffrey Solomon (pictured, black male, DOB: 03-07-1985) in the investigation of an armed robbery on January 23, 2022 at the intersection of Carondelet and Common streets.

At about 11:07 a.m., an unknown male subject reportedly approached the victim demanding money. The subject then struck the victim several times with what is believed to be a metal pipe. The subject then took money from the victim and fled on foot.

Through investigation, NOPD Eighth District detectives have developed and positively identified Solomon as the perpetrator in this incident. Solomon is wanted on one count of armed robbery.

Solomon was last observed wearing a yellow construction-style jacket with reflective striping, with a black hooded sweatshirt underneath.
