NOPD Investigating Second District Vehicle Burglary Incident

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in the investigation of a vehicle burglary incident on January 12, 2021 in the 3800 block of South Carrollton Avenue.

At about 2:50 p.m., the pictured gray 2005 Nissan Frontier bearing Mississippi license plate GE15939 arrived at a gas station in the 3800 block of South Carrollton Avenue and stopped next to the victim’s dark-colored Ford Explorer at one of the gas pumps. The pictured unknown subject exited the front passenger side door Nissan, entered the victim’s front driver side door and took possession of the victim’s purse. The subject then re-entered the Nissan and fled the area.

Through investigation, NOPD Second District detectives learned that the Nissan Frontier was reported stolen in an incident on January 7 in the 7200 block of Briarheath Drive in the Seventh District, and was also used in the commission of an aggravated assault during the theft of a vehicle on January 9 in the 3800 block of South Carrollton Avenue.
