The Seventh District has cleared three shootings and seven armed robberies /carjackings in the last two weeks. 

•  January 8, 2021—11:46 pm.  11:46 p.m. – Aggravated battery by shooting -- 8500 block Chef Menteur Highway – Ronji Reed (B/M DOB: 12/09/1991) wanted for one count of aggravated battery (arrest warrant obtained 1/28/2020)
• January 14, 2021 8:56 a.m. Armed Robbery – 4500 block Wilson Avenue – James Rowel (B/M DOB: 2/26/1979) wanted for armed robbery
•  January 19, 2021 12:39 p.m. – Armed Robbery – 7000 block Bundy Road  Arieon Duplessis (B/F 4/12/1994) (Arrested) Rashad Alcalpih (B/M DOB: 12/14/1998) (Wanted)
• January 21, 2021  8:07 p.m. – Aggravated battery by shooting – 7500 block Marquis Street – Jermaine Kelley (B/M DOB: 2/15/2001) wanted for one count of aggravated battery
• January 21, 2021 7:39 p.m. – Armed carjacking 6700 block Bundy Road – Known male Juvenile (15-years-old) wanted for armed robbery
• January 25, 2021 8:08 p.m. Unarmed carjacking – 14000 block Chef Menteur Highway – Ladaria McCoy (B/F DOB: 9/30/1999) and Kevon Allen (B/M DOB: 3/21/1997) wanted for carjacking
• January 25, 2021 10:13 p.m. – Aggravated battery by shooting – 12000 block N. I-10 Service Road – Davon Williams (B/M DOB: 10/24/1998) wanted for aggravated battery by shooting
• January 26, 2021 5:20 p.m. – Armed carjacking – 10000 block Curran Blvd – Known 17-year-old male juvenile and known 15-year-old male juvenile both arrested for armed carjacking (Located and arrest by VOWS).  These juvenile male subjects were also wanted for an unrelated aggravated battery by shooting which occurred on December 31, 2020 in the 8700 block of Gervais
•  January 27, 2021 12:26 a.m. attempted armed carjacking – 7500 block Dwyer Road – Known 15-year-old female; attempted carjacking and known 15-year-old female arrested for attempt armed robbery. 
• January 27, 2021 12:45 a.m. armed carjacking – 7200 block Haynes Blvd. – Kanard Allen (B/M DOB: 5/29/2002) wanted for carjacking; Ta’Darryl Cobbins (B/M DOB: 7/10/2002) wanted for carjacking; known 16-year-old male wanted for carjacking

The majority of these arrests were made possible through the work of Seventh District investigators who obtained arrest warrants and the work of members of NOPD Violent Offenders Warrant Squad locating and apprehending the suspects one these outstanding warrants.

“These arrests and clearances show the continued dedication of our officers in working to keep the Seventh District and all of New Orleans safe,” NOPD Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said.
