NOPD Identifies, Locates Suspect in Fourth District Simple Robbery

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Julien Demone Hardin (pictured, DOB; 06-08-1986) in the investigation of a simple robbery that occurred in the 4000 block of Behrman Highway on January 28, 2020.

At about 11:46 a.m., the pictured subject entered a local retail store and approached an employee, asking questions about products. Through intimidation, the subject demanded that the employee give him money from the cash register. After taking the money, the subject fled the location on foot in an unknown direction. Photos of the suspect at the scene obtained through surveillance video footage can be seen below.

Through investigation NOPD Fourth District detectives were able to positively identify Hardin as the perpetrator in this incident and obtain a warrant for his arrest. Hardin is currently being detained in the St. Bernard Parish Jail on unrelated out of state charges. Hardin was interviewed and has reportedly confessed to the robbery in Orleans Parish.
