WANTED: NOPD Obtains Warrant for Suspect in Sixth District Aggravated Battery

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Anthony Thibodeaux (DOB: 11-25-1986) in connection with an aggravated battery incident that occurred on December 31, 2018, in the 1700 block of South Rampart Street.

On January 8, 2019, NOPD Sixth District detectives were notified of an aggravated battery which occurred on December 31, 2018, at the aforementioned location. The victim stated he was attacked in his apartment by a relative, later identified as Thibodeaux. As a result of the attack, the victim suffered extreme swelling to his brain which required emergency surgery. As the victim slowly began to remember the incident that led to his hospitalization, he notified police.

When located, Thibodeaux will be arrested for aggravated second degree battery.
