NOPD officers are seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating the pictured subject after his alleged involvement in a property snatching incident.
The victim told police that on January 14, 2019, around 5:35 a.m., he was standing in front of a business located in the 700 block of Iberville Street when an unknown male subject approached him and asked for money. The victim attempted to hand the subject a few dollars and the subject reportedly snatched the victim’s wallet out of his other hand and fled the location.
The victim reportedly began chasing after the subject, at which time he fell to the ground and sustained a laceration to the bottom of his chin. The subject successfully got away with the victim’s property.
The perpetrator is described as a black male with short hair and a goatee.
