Suspect Arrested in Domestic Burglary Incidents on Louisiana Avenue Parkway

The NOPD has arrested Leon Solomon (DOB: 05-26-1982) in connection with two domestic burglary incidents that occurred on January 24 and January 25, 2019, both at a residence in the 3000 block of Louisiana Avenue Parkway.

At about 8:20 p.m., Solomon allegedly forced entry into his ex-partner’s residence and committed a battery on the victim and the victim’s mother. At that time, Solomon also allegedly stole the victim’s cell phone prior to fleeing the scene.

Detectives also determined that Solomon allegedly returned to the residence on January 25 at about 5:57 p.m. and made unauthorized entry before committing another alleged battery.

Through the combined efforts of NOPD Second and Sixth District officers and the Special Operations Division, Solomon was apprehended at his residence in the 2400 block of Freret Street on January 26.

Solomon was charged with a home invasion, home invasion domestic abuse battery, theft and violation of protective orders.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to contact NOPD Second District detectives at 504-658-6020.
