NOPD Investigates Homicide on Delery Street

NOPD Investigates Homicide on Delery Street

The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred tonight (Jan. 24) in the 1200 block of Delery Street.

Fifth District officers responded to a medical call in the area around 6:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive adult male lying face down in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering information to identity the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.

The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine the official cause of death and release the victim's name upon completion of autopsy and notification of family. There are no additional details available at this time.
