The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating Katherine Welsh (DOB: 09/16/1998), who is wanted in connection with an aggravated battery by cutting incident that occurred in the 8200 block of Jeannette Street.
The reporting person told police that on January 1, 2019, Welsh and the victim engaged in a verbal altercation and the subject allegedly struck the victim in the chest with a box cutter, before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to an area hospital to receive treatment for her injuries.
Welsh is described as a white female with blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie and dark sweatpants.
