NOPD Arrests Suspects in Auto Burglary on O’Keefe Avenue

The NOPD has arrested Joshua Hunter (pictured above at left, DOB: 08-24-1986) and Carmen McDonald (pictured above at right, DOB; 01-11-1983) in connection with an auto burglary incident that occurred on January 7, 2019 in the 800 block of O’Keefe Avenue.

Hunter and McDonald were positively identified as the perpetrators in the incident, which reportedly occurred at about 11:30 a.m. in the 800 block of O’Keefe Avenue. The subjects allegedly burglarized the vehicle for car keys, a purse and other miscellaneous items. The subjects then reportedly fled the scene to the 2100 block of Thalia Street, where they were located. NOPD Sixth District Task Force Officers apprehended the subjects without incident and found the subjects in possession of the victim’s stolen property.

Hunter and McDonald were arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center. Hunter was booked for simple burglary, while McDonald was booked for simple burglary, simple assault and illegal possession of stolen things.
