NOPD Arrests Suspect for Drug Possession on Bourbon Street

The NOPD has arrested Delton Hunter (DOB: 05-15-1996) after he was found to allegedly be in possession of illegal narcotics while in the 400 block of Bourbon Street on January 20, 2019.

As members of the NOPD Eighth District’s Bourbon Street Promenade Unit were on patrol, they notices a subject standing in the 400 block of Bourbon Street smoking material that matched the profile of marijuana. The subject was detained and arrested for the above violation. Upon a search incident to arrest, the subject was found to be in possession of 28 bags of individually wrapped marijuana, one large bag of marijuana and two hand rolled cigars. The subject was also in possession of $120.00 in cash.

The subject, later identified as Hunter, was transported and booked accordingly into the Orleans Parish Justice Center
