ARRESTED: NOPD Apprehends Suspects in Possession of a Stolen Vehicle in Seventh District

NOPD officers have arrested two suspects after they were found in illegal possession of a stolen vehicle in the Seventh District.

On January 3, 2019, at or around 6 a.m., Seventh District officers were patrolling in the 10000 block of Curran Road, when they observed a silver Nissan Rogue, bearing Kentucky license plate #504WTP, parked near the location. Upon further investigation, the officers learned that the vehicle was reported stolen on December 28, 2018, from the 2600 block of Touro Street.

Officers approached the vehicle and discovered two occupants inside the vehicle, Malcolm Wylie (DOB: 07-22-2000) and a 16-year-old juvenile male. Wylie was transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center and the juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
