Three Arrested, One Wanted for Armed Robbery on Verret Street

With assistance from the TIGER Unit, officers in the Fourth District arrested a male juvenile at the time of the incident (DOB: 01/16/01), Karl Dickerson (DOB: 03/20/00) and Kevon Blunt (DOB: 02/04/00) for their involvement in an armed robbery that occurred on January 6, 2018. Officers are currently searching for a fourth male subject for his involvement in the incident.

At about 5:30 p.m., the victim arrived at her residence and parked her black 2008 Infiniti M35 in her driveway in the 200 block of Verret Street. As she gathered her belongings from her vehicle, she told police two armed subjects approached her from behind and demanded the victim’s purse. The subjects then took the victim’s purse and fled the location in her vehicle. The subjects were accompanied by a black Jeep Cherokee Laredo.

Detectives were able to gather information on the juvenile who was determined to be one of the subjects inside the black SUV during the incident. As the investigation progressed, the TIGER Unit conducted a follow up investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Rodriguez.

On January 10, 2018, detectives in the TIGER Unit located the juvenile at a local residence with two other subjects who matched the description of the other perpetrators seen on video surveillance in the black SUV. The two subjects were identified as Dickerson and Blunt. Detectives secured a search warrant for the residence and discovered two handguns.

As the investigation continued, detectives learned that all subjects in the residence were involved in the armed robbery. All three subjects were subsequently arrested and booked accordingly into Central Lockup.

Detectives were also able to identify a fourth male subject, Cameron Faciane, who was also seen inside the black SUV. An arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Anyone with any other information on the incident or location of Faciane should contact any Fourth District officer at 504-658-6040. Citizens with information that can help solve a crime are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
