The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating five subjects seen on video surveillance in commission of a vehicle burglary on January 4, 2018 in the 1300 block of Holiday Place.

The victim told police that he had parked his vehicle in the driveway of his residence at about 10:40 p.m. on January 3. When he returned to the vehicle at about 5:40 a.m. on January 4, he saw the interior of the vehicle had been ransacked.

At about 1:50 a.m. on January 4, video surveillance showed a black four-door SUV pull in front of the residence and five individuals exiting the vehicle, while one remained in the driver’s seat with the vehicle running. The five subjects were all dressed in similar non-descript apparel consisting of gray hooded sweatshirts and dark pants, with some in possession of flashlights. The individuals spread out into the block and began pulling on car door handles, with footage showing one of the suspects gaining access to the victim’s vehicle. The subject can be seen rummaging through the car’s center console and glove compartment. A short time later, a second subject is seen walking up to the vehicle and interacting with the first subject. Both subjects are then seen leaving the vehicle and fleeing the scene.

Surveillance video of the incident and the subjects exiting the SUV can be viewed at https://youtu.be/kmwwMLhCI88 at https://youtu.be/LfdARC83bxw.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
