NOPD Searching for Subject in Fifth District Aggravated Assault

The NOPD is searching for a subject involved in a Fifth District aggravated assault.

The victim stated that on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 around 8 p.m. he went to the intersection of St. Roch Avenue and North Robertson Street, to retrieve his cellphone from the subject he only knows by the name “Lee.”

The victim said then he arrived at the intersection, he and “Lee” engaged in a brief struggle over the cellphone, and that “Lee” dropped the phone on the ground.

The victim said “Lee” then informed him that he was going to shoot up his residence.

A short time later, the victim observed “Lee” and another black male at his home and he heard gunfire.

The victim stated he and his roommates fled the location.

“Lee” is described as having a short twist hair style, standing about five feet six inches tall, weighing 115 lbs. He was last seen clad in a dark gray hoodie, and wearing Patrick Ewing #33 black sneakers.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the subject is asked to contact Fifth District Detective Johnny Magee or any Fifth District detective at 504-658-6050, or call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll free at 1-877-903-7867.
