NOPD Releases Images of Suspect in Homicide on Alcee Fortier Boulevard

NOPD Releases Images of Suspect in Homicide on Alcee Fortier Boulevard

The NOPD has released photos of a person detectives believe is the perpetrator of a homicide that occurred on January 23, 2017 in the 4600 block of Alcee Fortier Boulevard. Detectives are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the perpetrator or providing any additional information in regards to this investigation.

At around 10:23 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to a complaint in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male victim suffering from gunshot wounds outside. The victim was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.

When located, the perpetrator will be arrested for second-degree murder in this incident.

No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
