The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Hakeem Jones (pictured, DOB: 09-20-1981) in the investigation of an aggravated assault with a firearm and domestic battery abuse incident that occurred on February 7, 2020.

Through investigation, NOPD Fourth District detectives learned that at approximately 1:15 a.m., the victim and Jones were reportedly involved in an argument in the 3300 block of Garden Oaks Drive. Jones allegedly pushed the victim against a window and struck the victim several times in the face with closed hands.  Jones then is believed to have brandished a handgun, pointed the weapon at the victim and threatened to shoot the victim before fleeing the scene in a gray Nissan Altima bearing Louisiana license plate 803CNW. It is noted that the listed vehicle is dark gray in body color, but that the hood and front bumper are light gray in color.

When located, Jones will be arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and domestic abuse battery.
