NOPD Investigating Homicide on Cypress Acres Drive in Algiers

NEW ORLEANS – The NOPD is investigating the shooting death of an adult male that occurred on February 7, 2020 in the 2100 block of Cypress Acres Drive in the Fourth District.

At approximately 6:28 a.m., Fourth District officers received a call of a medical emergency, and upon arrival found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound(s).  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.  The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim and conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
