The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating a subject wanted in connection with an auto theft investigation.
On December 30, 2023, at about 5:30 p.m., an auto theft occurred in the 1000 block of Iberville Street. On the date, a 2016 black Cadillac Escalade was stolen from the location and later recovered in the 1000 block of St. Philip Street.
Through investigation, detectives identified Adam Hassan (pictured, White male DOB: 8/5/1988) as the alleged perpetrator in this incident after locating video surveillance which captured the incident.
Hassan is known to frequent the NOPD Eighth District and Downtown areas.
