NOPD Identifies Suspect Wanted in Eighth District Simple Robbery

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect in the investigation of a simple robbery that occurred on February 14, 2024, in the 900 block of Union Street.

At about 11:12 a.m. on February 14, four perpetrators – two male subjects and two female subjects – allegedly committed a battery upon two known victims at the location and reportedly stole the victims’ cell phones. 

Through investigation, Eighth District detectives have developed and positively identified Nortisa Bowens (pictured, black female, DOB: 07-23-1998) as one of the perpetrators in this incident. Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Bowens on two counts of simple robbery.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
