The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a theft investigation.
On February 21, 2023, the victim's wallet was stolen. The wallet was equipped with a tracking 'air tag'. At about 8:45 p.m., the victim's air tag notified her that the wallet was moving.
The victim tracked her wallet to a parking lot in the 4100 block of South Carrollton Avenue. There she confronted the driver of a vehicle that reportedly had the wallet inside. The suspect drove away.
Through investigation, Diamond Williams, (pictured black female, DOB: 7-23-1998) was identified as the alleged perpetrator of this incident.
A theft warrant has been issued for Williams' arrest.
