Persons of Interest Sought for Questioning in NOPD Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in locating two subjects sought for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a homicide on February 9, 2022 at the intersection of Old Gentilly and France roads.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives have developed Britney Mitchell (pictured in top two photos, black female, DOB: 09-02-1984) and Sherita Mitchell (pictured at bottom, black female, DOB: 07-17-1967) as persons of interest in this case. These subjects are not currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, detectives feel they may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview them.
