NOPD Seeking Kidnapped Juvenile, Suspect in Fifth District Investigation

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Kieca Laney (photo not available, black female, DOB: 08-27-1981) in the investigation of a kidnapping of a juvenile male relative that occurred during a domestic incident on February 8, 2022 in the 2400 block of Feliciana Street.

At about 12:25 a.m., a domestic incident reportedly occurred between the victim and Laney, who are related. During that incident, Laney allegedly took the victim’s 2-year-old child King-Josiah Holmes (pictured, black male) and fled the location. All attempts to contact Laney since that time have been unsuccessful.

Laney is wanted on a charge of aggravated kidnapping.

Anyone with additional information on this incident or on the whereabouts of Laney and/or the kidnapped child is asked to contact NOPD Fifth District detectives at 504-658-6050 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
