NOPD Arrests Suspect in Homicide Investigation

On February 4, 2022, the NOPD arrested Josharin Henry (pictured, black male, DOB: 01-24-2000) in the ongoing investigation of a homicide on November 20, 2021 in the 1400 block of North Claiborne Avenue.

At around 11:45p.m., NOPD First District officers responded to the location for a call of aggravated battery by shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unknown adult male victim suffering with multiple gunshot wounds. EMS pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives developed and positively identified Henry as a perpetrator in this incident and obtained an arrest warrant on one count of second-degree murder.

Henry was located, arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center accordingly on February 4.

Anyone with additional information that can aid in this active and ongoing investigation is asked to call NOPD Homicide Det. Walter Edmond at 504-658-5300 or to call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
