Suspect Vehicle Sought by NOPD in Double Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a vehicle used in the commission of a double homicide on January 18, 2021 in the 3000 block of Bienville Street.

At around 5:26 p.m., First District officers were dispatched to the scene of an aggravated battery by shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male and an adult female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male victim was pronounced dead on scene by EMS. The adult female was transported to the hospital by EMS, where she died. A third adult male arrived at the hospital via private conveyance after sustaining a gunshot wound during this incident.

The pictured vehicle, described as an older model Chevrolet Suburban, has been determined as the vehicle used by at least two perpetrators in this incident. The vehicle was seen on video surveillance prior to and following the incident in the immediate area. The vehicle’s license plate is unknown, but the vehicle is known to have dark windows, roof rack rails, step rails, damage to its rear passenger door and to be missing the driver’s door handle.

Anyone with additional information on this incident is asked to contact NOPD Homicide Det. Tanisha Smith at 504-658-5300 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
