The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a suspect sought in the investigation of an armed robbery on January 24, 2021 in the 7900 block of Chef Menteur Highway.
The pictured suspect, known to the victim as “Mike”, reportedly picked the victim up in a newer model grey Nissan Sedan, after arranging a date from a social media site. The suspect then allegedly relocated to a business in the 7900 block of Chef Menteur Highway and entered the store alone, leaving the victim in his car. Upon returning to the driver’s seat of his vehicle, the suspect reportedly produced a handgun and robbed the victim of her wallet that contained cash and identification. The suspect then demanded the victim to exit his vehicle, to which the victim complied, and the suspect fled westbound on Chef Menteur Highway.
