Subjects Wanted in Seventh District Attempted Carjacking and Shooting

New Orleans - The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two subjects wanted in connection to an attempted carjacking and aggravated battery by shooting incident that occurred on February 7, 2021. 

At around 7:50 p.m., the victim was taking video of a vacant lot located at the corner of Wilson and Prentiss Avenues when he was approached by the two pictured subjects.  The subjects demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle.  The victim refused to give up his keys, and a struggle between him and the subjects began.  The victim was able to enter the driver's seat and drove away.  However, the subjects opened fire and struck the victim four times. 

Subject 1 is believed to be a standing between 5’7” and 5’8” tall.  He was wearing black jeans and a blue windbreaker.  Subject 2 is believed to be standing 5’6” to 5’7” tall and was wearing black jeans, a gray and black jacket with a green rolled-up ski mask.
