Suspect Wanted for Theft on Garden Oaks Drive
NOPD officers are searching for Gerald Pope (DOB: 04/09/2000) after his alleged involvement in a theft incident that occurred in the 3300 block of Garden Oaks Drive.

The victim told police that on February 3, 2019, Pope was visiting her residence with an unknown male subject. The victim stated that she left the subjects in the living room area while she relocated to her bedroom. The victim advised officers that her laptop was left on the kitchen counter.

The victim reportedly heard the front door to her apartment open and close and she relocated to the living room area to lock the door. The victim then observed her laptop was missing from the kitchen counter.

Through further investigation, officers reviewed surveillance video from the area which showed two male subjects running away from the victim’s apartment. Pope was observed carrying a laptop in his hands as he fled the scene. Officers later learned that Pope pawned the victim’s laptop at a business located in the 1600 block of Newton Street.
