Suspect Sought in First District Auto Burglary

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect who is believed to be responsible for an auto burglary that occurred in the 1200 block of North Galvez Street.

The reporting person told police that on February 7, 2019, at or around 2:15 p.m. he parked his brown 2008 GMC Arcadia in the driveway of his residence. The victim reportedly returned to the vehicle at around 8:15 p.m. and discovered the front passenger door was partially open. 

Through further investigation, the victim observed that his backpack containing his laptop and cables were missing from inside the vehicle. The victim reportedly canvassed the area and discovered his backpack in a rear gated yard in the 2100 block of Barracks Street.

Officers reviewed surveillance video from the area and observed an unknown subject dumping the victim’s stolen property in the 2100 block of Barracks Street.
