The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating Kevin Sylvan (DOB: 09/19/1986) for a DNA buccal swab regarding a Seventh District homicide.
On December 17, 2018, around 1:59 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting in the 7800 block of Sun Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a black male lying face down in the driveway, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead on scene by EMS.
Sylvan is not currently wanted for this investigation, however, he is needed to execute the collection of his DNA sample and an interview.
