NOPD Seeking to Identify Suspect in Shooting, Armed Robbery in First District

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating and identifying a suspect sought in the investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting and an armed robbery that occurred in the 1200 block of North Claiborne Avenue on January 5, 2019.

At approximately 2:20 a.m., the pictured subject reportedly approached the victim, aimed a gun at him and demanded money. The perpetrator then allegedly shot the victim before a fight for control of the gun ensued. The victim was then reportedly shot an additional time. The perpetrator was possibly shot as well, before allegedly making his escape in a waiting vehicle.
