NOPD Searches for Suspects in Eighth District Auto Burglary

NOPD officers are searching for two suspects who are wanted in connection with an auto burglary that occurred on February 16, 2019, in the 900 block of Barracks Street.

The victim told police that she returned to her 1997 BMW 23 on the above date and noticed that her vehicle’s convertible roof was cut open, and the inside of the vehicle was ransacked. The victim reported that a small amount of cash was missing from inside the vehicle.

Through further investigation, officers reviewed surveillance footage from the area and identified the pictured subjects as the perpetrators of the auto burglary mentioned above. One of the subjects reportedly stood by as a lookout while the other perpetrator used an unknown object to cut open the victim’s leather convertible top, and rummage through the inside of the victim’s vehicle. The perpetrators fled the scene on foot, heading northbound toward North Rampart Street.
