NOPD Arrests Suspect for Drug, Firearm Violations

The NOPD has arrested Lloyd Cannon (DOB: 01-18-1991) in connection with drug and firearm possession charges.

The arrest comes after a lengthy investigation launched into Cannon, after he was initially arrested by NOPD Seventh District detectives for possession of a Schedule I CDS with intent to distribute. The investigation led to the issuance of a search warrant at Cannon’s residence in the 4200 block of South Tonti Street, where items located and confiscated include three large containers of material tested positive to be marijuana; six firearms, one of which was reported stolen from a surrounding parish; ammunition and a large sum of U.S. currency.

Cannon was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for possession of a firearm while in possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact NOPD Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070, or to call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
