ARRESTED: NOPD Apprehends Suspect for Illegal Gun, Drug Possession in Eighth District

NOPD officers have arrested Dominique King (DOB: 03-15-1993) for illegal drug and gun possession while in the Eighth District.

On February 18, 2019, around 11:40 p.m., Eighth District Bourbon Promenade Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Clinton and Bienville streets. The driver of the vehicle, identified as King, advised officers that he was in possession of a concealed firearm in his front right pants pocket. Officers detained King and confiscated a black semi-automatic firearm containing seven rounds of live ammunition. Officers conducted a search of King’s vehicle and discovered a hand rolled cigar containing marijuana.

King was arrested and transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center, where he was booked with illegal carrying of a firearm and marijuana.
