Suspects Wanted in Carjacking on Powhatan Street

Suspects Wanted in Carjacking on Powhatan Street

The NOPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating three individuals wanted in connection with a carjacking incident that occurred on February 17, 2018 in the 2900 block of Powhatan Street.

At about 12:36 p.m., the victim was vacuuming the backseat of his white 2010 Toyota Corolla bearing Louisiana Handicapped License Plate H359391. At that time, he was approached from behind by three unknown black males. The victim was thrown to the ground by one of the unknown black males, and the unknown males then entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the location.

The victim described the three suspects as dark skinned black males with short hair styles between 18-23 years of age. An image of the suspects taken from surveillance footage is included with this release.
