Suspect Wanted in Theft Incident on Almonaster Avenue

Suspect Wanted in Theft Incident on Almonaster Avenue

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect who was captured on surveillance video taking money from the register at Family Dollar, located in the 1800 block of Almonaster Avenue.

The incident happened on Thursday, (Feb. 8) at or about 12:19 p.m. During the investigation, officers reviewed surveillance video footage from the location and observed an unknown male entering the store and purchasing a beverage. The suspect gave the cashier money for the item he purchased, at which time the subject reached over the counter and grabbed money from the register.

The suspect was observed arriving and fleeing the scene in what appears to be a white Nissan Altima. The suspect is believed to be involved in an armed robbery that occurred on Thursday, (Feb. 8) in the 2600 block of N. Robertson Street.

The subject may be armed and dangerous.
