Suspect in Shooting at Elk Place and Cleveland Street Surrenders to NOPD

The NOPD today (February 7, 2018) arrested Rasheed Richardson (DOB 02-11-1998) in connection with a shooting that occurred on Friday, February 2, 2018 near the intersection of Elk Place and Cleveland Street.

At about 4 p.m., the victim and Richardson are believed to have been involved in a struggle over a handgun that Richardson allegedly produced when he reportedly shot the victim in the leg.

Richardson turned himself in to Eighth District officers today at the Eighth District station and will be booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for aggravated battery by shooting.
