Persons of Interest Sought in Shooting at St. Joseph and Magazine Streets

The NOPD is seeking to speak with two persons of interest in connection with an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred today (February 17, 2018) near the intersection of St. Joseph and Magazine streets.

At about 3:20 p.m., a subject arrived via private conveyance at an area hospital with apparent gunshot wounds. Upon further investigation, Eighth District detectives determined that the victim was involved in an aggravated battery by shooting near the intersection of St. Joseph and Magazine streets. 

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.

The pictured unknown black male subjects were observed near the location when the shooting occurred. The two subjects are not wanted in connection with this incident, but detectives wish to interview them and believe they may have important information regarding the incident.
