NOPD Searches for Suspect Wanted in Fourth District Auto Burglary

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect who is wanted for his involvement in an auto burglary incident.

The incident happened on Tuesday, (Feb. 27). The reporting person told police he parked his 2005 white Cadillac Escalade bearing Louisiana license plate #C561984 in the 3500 block of Mimosa Court, at or about 8 p.m.

During the investigation, officers observed the victim’s vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence with the front driver’s door partially closed. The glove compartment was open with the contents ransacked and spread over the front passenger seat.

The suspect is also wanted in connection to a separate attempted auto burglary incident that occurred on Tuesday, (Feb. 27) in the 3500 block of Mimosa Court. The victim told police he observed the suspect pulling the door handle on one of his vehicles. The suspect reportedly continued pulling the door handles of several other vehicles in the area.

The suspect in these incidents is described as a black male wearing all black clothing.
