NOPD Identifies Suspect Wanted in Theft on Hebert Street

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Lakisha Hickey (DOB: 09-05-1979) in connection with a theft that occurred on February 12, 2018 in the 700 block of Hebert Street.

The victim informed police that about $650 was missing from a suitcase in her guest room at the location. Upon investigation, Fourth District detectives discovered that Hickey, who was working at the location as a housekeeper, was assigned to the victim’s guest room and that she had allegedly entered the guest’s room without permission, as the guest had displayed the “Do Not Disturb” sign on three occasions during Hickey’s shift. Hickey was also identified by hotel staff as the only housekeeper assigned a master key, which was used to enter the victim’s guest room.

When located, Hickey will be arrested for theft.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Lakisha Hickey is asked to contact Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
