An arrest warrant has been issued for a man in connection with a First District homicide.
NOPD Homicide detectives secured an arrest warrant for second-degree murder for Carlsel Alexander, (B/M, DOB: 08/18/1995), for the murder of Troy Wilson that occurred on Sunday, February 18, 2018, around 2:10 a.m., in the 700 block of North Broad Street.
First District officers responded to a call reporting a fight involving a large group of people at the location with shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
EMS treated the victim at the scene, but he later died.
The investigation into this incident remains active and ongoing.
