Vehicle, Suspects Wanted in Armed Carjacking and Shooting on Chestnut Street

The NOPD is searching for a 2016 Hyundai and three suspects that were involved in an armed carjacking and shooting incident that injured one victim.

The incident happened on February 6, 2017. The victim told police at around 7:40 p.m. she was inside of her Hyundai in the 3400 block of Chestnut Street when she observed two unknown black males in dark clothing. The suspects then approached the victim’s boyfriend who was walking to the car. One of the suspects shot the victim in the leg while demanding his belongings. A third suspect came and demanded property from the female victim. All three suspects were seen armed with guns, wearing dark clothing with bandannas over their faces.The suspects then took off in the victim's property and vehicle. 

The victim's vehicle is described as a 2016 Hyundai Elantra with a Florida license plate of 764HMA.
