Suspect Wanted for Snatching Cash from Victim Outside of the Family Dollar Store

The NOPD is looking for an unknown man after he snatched money from a victim's purse outside of the Family Dollar store.

The incident happened on August 8, 2016. At around 6 p.m. the suspect approached the victim outside of the Family Dollar store in the 4000 block of Behrman Highway. As the suspect started a conversation with the victim, he then asked the victim if she had change for a $100 bill. As the victim began searching through her purse, the suspect then reached over and grabbed a white envelope that contained money. The suspect was then seen fleeing the location on foot.

The subject is described as being a dark-skinned black male, medium build with a short hair style. He’s approximately 5’5” to 5’6” tall and appeared to be between 35 to 45 years old. The subject also has a Fleur De Lis tattoo in the middle of his forehead between his eyebrows.
